Many of my friends envy me. They ask “Sophie, how do you look so good?” Well, my secret is getting good clothes I look great in. That’s why I pay a lot of attention to shopping for clothes or getting trousers wholesale. Luckily for me and my wallet, I don’t spend hours upon hours on choosing what to wear – I have a clear goal in mind when I go into the store.
If you want to be an efficient shopper, know what are your stronger features. Look at your skin tone, hair color, body shape and choose accordingly. Everyone knows, for example, that vertical lines are thinning while horizontal stripes make that part look wider. Dark colors hide extra bulk, bright colors draw more attention. So if you want to optically enlarge your bust, wear a sailor’s T-shirt. Shapes and tailoring can add or remove some curves from your body. High-waisted pants are slimming and move your waist upwards, shortening your torso. If you want to seem larger, wear tighter clothes – but the opposite isn’t true, baggy clothes also add some dimension. I can’t quite afford it yet, but it’s good to have your essentials tailored to your body.
That’s why you need to know your measurements – whether you’re having your clothes tailored or buying ready-made ones. This matters especially if you want to buy clothes online – don’t try everything on. Take the crucial measurements with a tape measure: upper arm, neck size, the widest part of your chest and hips, your waistline and inseam – the distance from your groin to the bottom of your ankle. That’s why trousers wholesale need to come in multiple cuts and shapes.
Well-fitted clothes are better than brand names that don’t just fit you. Even a regular pair of jeans and a tee will work better than a CK pantsuit that’s too big. Also, buy clothes that look great on you now – not on the figure you should have. Don’t waste your money on clothes you might never wear. If you plan to lose weight, hold off important purchases after you do!
